Sales begin for „Peninsula Beach House“ lakefront condominiums on Lake Zurich

30.06.2010

Zurich, 30 June 2010 – A VIP Reception at Seerose Marina in Zürich kicks off sales of exclusive lakefront homes at “Peninsula Beach House” in Wädenswil.

Properties with direct waterfront access on Lake Zurich are among the rarest and most sought after of all real estate in Switzerland. If such an opportunity does become available, its price is seldom quoted. “Peninsula Beach House” home sales offer a refreshing change. With prices from CHF 16’800 to CHF 21’000/m², Peninsula Beach House offers buyers 100-300 m² luxury residences with direct lake frontage, in the same price range as “lake view” only homes.

Unique quality of living

Peninsula Beach House was conceived as an oasis to be built on the naturally protected 30’000 m² Peninsula development. The concept of the Peninsula Beach House offers well being for lovers of nature, wellness, and sports, while at the same time meeting the highest expectations for an urban lifestyle. Set in a breathtaking park and garden landscape, there is direct access from every unit to the in‐house wellness spa, fitness area, indoor pool, squash court, as well as other amenities such as a boat harbour and the membership opportunities offered by the on-site Wädenswil rowing club.

Whether a spacious Penthouse with a spacious terrace or an idyllic garden level walk-out, each individual flat has been designed with this one-of-a-kind location in mind, so that the panoramic view of the Lake Zurich, the mountains and the waterside park and landscape gardens will provide a lasting and unforgettable experience. The park and landscape garden covers an area of 3’000 m² and gives the individual living room and dining room areas a unique spaciousness with a fascinating interplay of the colours of nature in these beautiful surroundings.

Peninsula Beach House has moved all vehicle access and parking underground to allow harmonious landscaping and an optimisation of residential quality of life.

Assurance and security in property values

This special property, on the Lake Zurich with views which cannot be obstructed, represents an attractive sound investment. Such quality objects also offer a potential for value apprciation combined with an effective hedge against possible future inflation concerns.

A key feature is the convenience of Wädenswil to other important locations. Whether by train or car, Zurich and Zug are both about 20 minutes away. And the central location of Wädenswil on Lake Zurich means that in little more than an hour you can be in the mountains for summer or winter activities.

85% lower CO2 emissions than comparable new-build homes

A progressive energy policy was an important consideration when designing Peninsula Beach House. Sustainable construction practices exceeding ‘Minergie’ standards and the use of lake water as a source of thermal energy, in combination with a range of Peach innovations mean that the Peninsula Beach House homes have CO2-emissions 85% lower than conventional new buildings.

Harmonious building and landscape architecture

Peninsula Beach House was designed by the renowned architects Buchner Bründler from Basel (www.bbarc.ch). This successful firm of architects are currently attracting international attention with their Swiss Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo (1 May to 31 October 2010). For Beach House, Buchner Bründler Architects interpreted the special lakeside location with essential structural elements amid the landscape to produce an evocative ensemble. Surrounding Beach House and the entire Peninsula, Swiss landscape architect Berchtold Lenzin has designed a vehicle-free green oasis which transforms the Peninsula and lakeside areas into a unique waterfront park lifestyle.

Development plans on track at Peninsula

The planning by developer Peach Property Group for Peninsula was carried out in close cooperation with the authorities of Wädenswil and the administration of Canton Zurich. This involved careful considerations for the existing historical buildings and planned new buildings. The best architectural solutions were identified in specific studies commissioned for all new construction projects and conversion projects. To date results are positive with a Building Permit for Beach House issued in January 2010 and construction to start very soon. The first homes in Beach House are planned to be completed by the end of 2012.
